About Us
In the heart of the historic center of Castelsardo, in 2025 La Meridiana was born, a family-run trattoria dedicated to good food and the historical memory of the city.
The name is no coincidence: our trattoria is located right next to Palazzo di Nicolò, the ancient residence of Nicolò Doria, the last lord of Castel Genovese, who was defeated by the Aragonese in 1448. The historic "port regulations" are attributed to him, and to this day the palace still holds the ancient sundial and the Doria family coat of arms.
It is precisely from this connection to tradition and the land that our cuisine comes to life. We use only fresh, zero-kilometer ingredients to offer an authentic yet innovative experience. Ours is a tribute to the truest Sardinia: traditional dishes revisited with creativity, never forgetting their roots.
